Wejo joins MONET alliance to further drive innovation in international mobility

Wejo is one of a growing number of companies joining the MONET Alliance to form a united front for mobility innovation

Wejo is a global leader in Smart Mobility for Good? and cloud and software solutions for connected vehicles, electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles.The company announced today that it has joined MONET Alliance, an organization that actively promotes cooperation and innovation in the mobility services industry in Japan.By joining the MONET Alliance, Wejo will have the opportunity to collaborate with select companies from hundreds of industry-leading diverse members to jointly advance mobility innovation and the mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) market.The market could be worth $61 billion in 2030, according to the Yano Research Institute.

With the launch of a groundbreaking solution, Wejo will provide new perspectives and ideas for collective dialogue among members, while expanding its presence in Japan.Japan, the world's third largest economy with a high level of urbanization, will attract and motivate Wejo to develop innovative smart mobility solutions for this market.According to Statista's "Japan Automotive Industry" report, Japan produces 8.1 million vehicles a year, a figure that fits well with Wejo's goal of using its connected vehicle data and Smart Mobility for Good™ technology to have a more global impact.
