Summary
Grazing incidence reflective optics are widely used in the X-ray optical path, especially the Kirkpatrick-Baez (KB) elliptical mirror system.(A. Verhoeven, et al., Journal of Synchrotron Radiation 27.5 (2020): 1307-1319) Focusing is achieved by focusing a two-dimensional beam using two physically separated elliptical mirrors.X-rays entering the system can be focused by the system into nanometer-sized spots.The system was modeled and simulated in VirtualLab Fusion and the electric field at the focal point was calculated.
