【System Environment】Win10 Workstation

1. Problem: wake up 1 second after sleeping

After performing sleep, it became apparent that the computer went to sleep, the keyboard lights were off, and the fans were silent.But in just 1 second, it automatically wakes up and enters the login page.

1.1. Reason Analysis

(probably) related to the sensitivity of the optical mouse.

1.2. Countermeasures

1. Set the mouse to not wake up.
2. Operation steps:
   [Win + R]
   → Type in [devmgmt.msc], press Enter, wait for 2s
   → Click [Mouse and other pointing devices] in the device manager
   

→Right click【HID-compliant mouse】
→Click【Properties】
→Click【Power Management】
→Uncheck【Allow this device to wake the computer】
→Click【OK】]

2 Problem: Automatic wake up at night or at noon

2.1. Reason Analysis

2.2. Countermeasures

2.2.1. View scheduled tasks, basically upgrade programs, just cancel

→Type【control schedtasks】, press Enter

→Type【powercfg.cpl】
→Click【Change Plan Settings】
→Click【Change Advanced Power Settings】

3 Other possible countermeasures

3.1. Setting Local Group Policy

【Win + R】
→Type【gpedit.msc】, press Enter, wait for 2s
→Select and enter【Sleep Settings】 according to the following picture
→Set according to your needs

3.2. Viewing hardware wakeup events

Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator
→Type [powercfg -a]: View sleep status, generally S3 is very good!
→ Type【powercfg -lastwake】: View the device that woke up the computer last time
→ Type 【powercfg /devicequery wake_armed】: View the devices that can wake up the computer
→ Type 【powercfg /devicequery wake_programmable】: View allA device that can wake up the computer
→Type [powercfg /deviceenablewake “HID-compliant mouse (003)”]: Allow the mouse to wake up the computer
→Type [powercfg /devicedisablewake “HID-compliant mouse (003)”]: DisableWake up the computer with the mouse
→Type [powercfg -waketimers]: View scheduled tasks
→ Type [powercfg /requests]: View processes, devices, etc. that require power
