TDengine Installation and deployment

1. Official website download server and client Installation package , Ensure that the versions of the server and the client are consistent

server： TDengine-server-2.4.0.16-Linux-x64.tar.gz (15.5 M)
client：TDengine-client-2.4.0.16-Linux-x64-Lite.tar.gz (3.1 M)

2. Cluster planning （4 platform centos7 virtual machine ）

• To configure hostname
  edit /etc/hostname file , Modify the of the corresponding virtual machine hostname And restart

• Edit each （4 Virtual machines ） The virtual machine /etc/hosts file , Add the following ：

  192.168.101.78 h1.taosdata.com
  192.168.101.79 h2.taosdata.com
  192.168.101.80 h3.taosdata.com

  Check whether they can ping through .

3. preparation

1. Turn off firewall （ Production environment is not recommended ） Or open up TCP and UDP 6030 Of 4042 port

2. Server clock synchronization , Ensure that all servers have the same time .

4 Upload installation package , And extract the

  tar -xvf TDengine-server-2.4.0.16-Linux-x64.tar.gz

5. install

• Install server

• Install client
  

6. After the server and client are installed , modify /etc/taos/taos.cfg The configuration file

• Server configuration file modification ： Be sure to modify the parameters firstEp and fqdn
  h1.taosdata.com To configure ：

  firstEp h1.taosdata.com:6030
  fqdn h1.taosdata.com

  h2.taosdata.com To configure ：

  firstEp h1.taosdata.com:6030
  fqdn h2.taosdata.com

  h3.taosdata.com To configure ：

  firstEp h1.taosdata.com:6030
  fqdn h3.taosdata.com

• Client configuration file , Just configure firstEp that will do

  firstEp h1.taosdata.com:6030

Start the first data node

1. stay h1.taosdata.com Node , Enter the following command , Start the first data node ：

    systemctl start taosd
   

   View node operation status , Make sure that the node is in running state .

   systemctl status taosd
   

   

2. stay 192.168.101.81 On the connection server

   taos -h h1.taosdata.com
   

3. Execution instruction

   show dnodes
   

   

   4. Join subsequent nodes dynamically . stay h2.taosdata.com and h3.taosdata.com The same applies to section 1 Step by step operation , Make sure taos be in running state . And back again 192.168.101.81 On , Execution section 3 Step instruction .

Vnode High availability

When you create a database , Available through REPLICA Set the number of copies ：
CREATE DATABASE testdb REPLICA n;

1. n Available settings are 1-3, But it cannot exceed the number of nodes .
2. When one vnode group Half or more of vnode When not working ,vnode group We can't provide services to the outside world , Because you can't choose master Of .
3. The default when creating a database is REPLICA yes 1, At this time, the cluster does not have vnode High availability ; If high availability is needed ,REPLICA Should be set to be greater than or equal to 2 Value .
