The local disk ECS has the following restrictions ：

• Affected by host resources , The configuration cannot be adjusted independently .
• Snapshot is not supported 、 Create capabilities such as acceleration .
• Low data reliability .
• Affected by host failure for a long time .

Therefore, it is recommended that you back up the local disk data in time , And consider converting the local disk to cloud disk .

【 matters needing attention 】 Big data models 、 high IO Model CVM It is not supported to adjust the local disk to cloud disk , It is suggested to realize high availability and data disaster recovery in business .

• Before initiating the operation , It is recommended to back up the system disk 、 Data disk , Deal with extreme situations .
• This scheme needs to be restarted 2 Time , The first 1 After the first restart , The console cloud disk list page will always display DATA_SYNCING, Snapshot is not supported during 、 Capacity expansion . Need for CVM The instance executes the second 2 Reboots .
• It is recommended to , Restart the system first , Ensure that the system can be started normally after restart . If the system is abnormal after restart , Solve the system problem first , Then initiate the local disk to cloud disk .

Operation steps

1. The console initiates the operation ： Console - Cloud server - Cloud drive , Click on 【 The hard disk is upgraded for free 】.

2.CVM Console status ：

• Shutdown status , Operation in progress

• In-service state , Operation in progress

• Restart the machine and resume operation , The disk will become a cloud disk

3.CBS Console status ：

• Cloud disk data synchronization ——DATA_SYNCING state

【 matters needing attention 】

• During cloud disk data synchronization , It will show that the status is DATA_SYNCING, Snapshot creation or capacity expansion is not supported , Does not affect the operation of the business .
• The synchronization percentage status will be increased in the next version , plan 5 Released in late mid to late .
• The time when data synchronization is completed depends on the size of the disk , commonly 500G The left and right hard disks can be in 1 Within hours .

4. restart CVM Upgrade Complete

After data synchronization is complete , You need to restart the machine again , The status of the cloud data disk will change from DATA_SYNCING Revert to “ Mounted ”, At this time, the cloud disk supports snapshot creation 、 Capacity expansion and other actions .
