Motivation

I really want to be tossed to death by the environment configuration of the R language... I use conda management. When downloading the R package, a bunch of errors broke out and everyone was numb.After reading the Internet, there are no good tutorials, so let's write one yourself.

Steps

First of all, it is recommended that you use anaconda to manage your R environment.(nonsense, the Internet says so).The point is, after installing conda, you must set up the bioconda channel, otherwise many packages will not be found.(This part is the hardest hit area for online plagiarism, and they are all copied and pasted directly from others).

1. Install anaconda/miniconda.This part is not reflected in this article. Friends who need it are Baidu, and there are many tutorials.I use anaconda (miniconda is a simplified version of anaconda).
2. Set bioconda, conda-forge channels.
   Why do you want to do this step?Because conda packages will be searched from the channel, if you do not add bioconda and conda-forge channels by default, many Shengxin packages will not be found at all.

   conda config --add channels defaultsconda config --add channels biocondaconda config --add channels conda-forge

3. Configure the R locale.
   It is recommended to create a new R environment with the following commands, meaning create an environment and install r-base r-essentials r-irkernel.

   conda create -n R r-base=4.1r-essentials r-irkernel

   If you already have an environment, you can use this command directly:

   conda installr-base=4.1 r-essentials r-irkernel

4. Install jupyter.

   conda install jupyter

5. You're done
6. To install the R package afterwards, it is recommended to install it directly with conda.
   For example, to install devtools, use the following command:

   conda install r-devtools
