In the near future , Meet a ORACLE 10G Database environment , After the user migrates the database to a new hardware server , The new server configuration is high ; Allocated 200G Memory , The database is abnormal after running for a period of time ;

After analysis, it is the problem of using large memory for the database , stay 10G Version when memory is greater than 168G after , There will be problems .

SQL> startup
ORA-27123: unable to attach to shared memory segment
Linux-x86_64 Error: 22: Invalid argument
Additional information: 1

RDBMS 10.2 can startup with a maximum size of 168GB SGA, due to the way the SGA is allocated
Development explained that, although possible to start database with some larger SGA, after 168GB shared libraries get overlayed in memory.  This may cause unpredictable results.

Final , By integrating the database SGA Change the size to 160GB, Then start the database successfully ;
