When the cluster status is as follows ：

You need to stop the standby machine from the database , Use --force-rewind Forcibly pull up and rejoin the cluster , Use the following command ：
./repmgr node rejoin -Uesrep -d esrep -h 10.10.8.44 -p 54356 --force-rewind
The error message appears as follows ：
ERROR: this node's timeline is ahead of the rejoin target node's timelineDETAIL: this node's timeline is 5, rejoin target node's timeline is 4

Cause analysis


Because the standby machine fails , Cause the timeline to change , When the state changes , Timeline plus 1. As a result, the time line of the standby machine is higher than that of the host . It is reasonable to say that the time line of the cluster host should be up-to-date , Otherwise, the data will be different .
 

Solution

Add parameter --no-check-wal Forcibly pull up . The order is as follows ：

./repmgr node rejoin -Uesrep -d esrep -h 10.10.8.44 -p 54356 --force-rewind --no-check-wal
