IPv6 private address

In the Internet's address architecture, a private network refers to a network that adheres to the RFC 1918 (IPV4) and RFC 4193 (IPV6) specifications and uses a dedicated IP address space.Private IP cannot directly connect to the Internet, and needs to use Network Address Translator (NAT) or proxy server to achieve this.Compared with public IP, private IP is free and saves IP address resources, so it is suitable for use in local area networks.

Private IP for IPv6 is defined in RFC 4193, and the address block fc00::/7 is reserved.These addresses are called Unique Local Addresses (ULA).They are defined as unicast addresses and include a 40-bit random number in the routing prefix to prevent collisions when two private networks are interconnected.Although used locally, the IPv6 address range for unique local addresses is global.
