1. Install arcgis enterprise

The latest ArcGIS Enterprise version currently available online is version 10.5.

desktop can directly use version 10.8.1 or arcgis pro

As for how to install it, just look it up online.

2. Create sde library

The sde library is recommended to use postgresql. The arcmap10.8.1 version corresponds to the postgresql12.2 version, and the geoscene 2.1 corresponds to the postgresql12.7 version.

It took me a lot of time to find the historical version of postgresql, here is the download URL (including versions 12.2 and 12.7):

Creating the sde library is divided into two steps:

  1. Create an enterprise sde library
  2. Connect sde library

There are many online tutorials for the above two steps, here are the precautions.

The first step to create an enterprise-level sde library can use the license file directly, or directly from the following location on the server side.Sometimes the license file is encrypted, then only the following file can be used.

After connecting to the sde library, when creating a feature set and registering the version, be sure to check the checkbox below, otherwise it can only be viewed from the view of the sde library, not in the table.
